YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

This yummy festival features many restaurants all over Calgary (many of which are on 17 Ave & 4 St). Participants are given passports and are sent off to taste each restaurants delicious creation!

Decorate a tree

The Core hosts its annual tree decorating event. 150 trees are decorated and donated to deserving Calgarian homes. You can sign a team up to decorate a 6 ft tree together or you can view the trees until December 20th.

Once upon a Christmas…

Experience Christmas magic at Heritage park. They have wagon rides, carols, plays, train displays and even Santa himself! The fun starts November 25th.

Zoolights

Everyone loves Christmas lights! Zoolights is back for its 20th year with 1.5 million lights. Bring your skates, drink hot chocolate, play games and more.

Skating

Olympic park has free outdoor skating. Bring your date and skates, or if you don’t have any, they have rentals available. Sounds like the perfect date night to us!

Wine Wonderland

Do you really need a reason to enjoy wine from regions all over the world? Calgary’s winefest offers some of the best wines from around the globe, plus hors d’oeuvres.
Don’t forget to bring canned goods and/or donations for the Food Bank!

Black & White Ball

The Fairmont hosts its annual black and white ball. Get dressed up (in black and white) and dance the night away for a good cause. The event includes a DJ, live music and even a silent auction.

Visit the mountains

Lake Louise & Sunshine Village both offer transportation which picks you up in Calgary (various pick up options available) and take you to the ski hills. You can even purchase a ticket that includes your ski pass for the day.

Make a wreath

Get inspiration wherever you can. Making a wreath can be a great activity and there are so many tools you can find online to make it easy! Look out for workshops in the area as well.
